Hollow-Turned Vase
Spalted Maple with Cocobolo Wood

This hollow vase was turned from a multi-branched maple log with highly unusual and beautiful combinations of both grain and spalting patterns. This vessel stands 8 inches tall by 9 inches in diameter. It is topped off with a cocobolo insert that draws your eye to the opening of the vase. It is also embellished with a decorative miniature carving that separates the cocobolo insert from the main body of the vase.
