1. In Native American mythology and folklore, Coyote is the figure who appears most widely, and is without doubt the best known. He is the preeminent "trickster" and also a culture hero who figures widely in the creations myths of many tribes.

Dr. Lewis Mehl-Madrona is the author of the book Coyote Medicine: Lessons from Native American Healing and became convinced years ago that the ancient and modern approaches to illness can and should be integrated in a way that offers patients the benefits of both.
