While domestic violence victims often reunite with their abusers for economic and practical reasons, there are many instances when there is no apparent reason. The concept of "traumatic bonding" was identified as an explanation for this very frustrating and common phenomenon. Participants will learn a treatment approach that has successfully empowered clients to break free of these bonds.

This two-day experiential is an adventure for seekers who are looking for personal answers as well as another view in approaching clients. While much of what Arjuna will do is found in his book Relaxing Into Clear Seeing, the pace and the content of workshop will be a "group-centered" experience.

While these can occur in healthy relationships, sometimes we find clients who are locked into counter-dependent situations that could be the result of reaction formations. The basic approach was developed by Bill Nichols and modified by Teresa Descilo to apply to a broader population.
